Promoting Lifelong Learning!

As an educator you know that a curious mind is one that is hungry to know more about the world. Cool Culture is anxious to fuel your curiosity and to place information and knowledge about history, science and arts education at your fingertips, so that you succeed as your center's Cool Culture leader and key champion for literacy and learning through culture.

Our 400+ partner educators and Cultural Liaisons, museum staff and cultural partners offer up an unprecedented wealth of information, and we're committed to making it all available!

THEORY

You will find articles and major reports in our library relating to the benefit of using the arts and cultural visits for learning. You'll also find practical knowledge through our handbook, liaison wisdom, workshops, and fairs.

Widening the Parent Comfort Zone

Each of us tends to go through life doing what is most comfortable for us and what feels safe. However, how many opportunities are we letting slip by because we fear feeling uncomfortable?

Successful Cool Culture centers are expert at widening their parents' comfort zones to include visits to cultural institutions.

These centers celebrate parents who spend time outside their comfort zones now, to help their children live the life of their dreams.

What success has your center had in widening parents' comfort zones? Email us at info@cool-culture.org and we will post it in our library.

PRACTICE MADE EASY

Cool Culture knows that early education professionals juggle lots of responsibilities.

We also know that Cultural Liaisons who have had lots of success with parents report that they carve out time to meet 3 simple goals.

3 Simple Activities for Cool Culture Success

1. Make yourself known!

2. Distribute Family Time and e-Family Time.

3. Share the Cool Culture "How To's."

For more  ideas about how to make these activities work for you at your center, check out page 7 of the Liaison Handbook.
