LTC is designed to increase family museum visitation by showing parents how important exposure to art really is to their children's cognitive and language development.
It provides parents and children with the chance to actually make their own art and expose them to other art experiences in their communities.
The project is a collaborative initiative between Cool Culture, an education consultant team from Bank Street College of Education led by Cathleen Wiggins, Professor and Director of the Leadership in Arts Program; and five cultural institutions that reflect the diversity of NYC's cultural institutions: Morris-Jumel Mansion Historic House, The Museum of Modern Art, The Noguchi Museum, and The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Studio Museum in Harlem.
