WHY COOL CULTURE?

Cool Culture is based on a simple premise: familiy visits to cultural institutions educates and inspires young children. We believe more families and children should benefit from the educational value of cultural institutions in our City.
 
Over 25% of New York City’s youngest children have unmet development needs. Most of Cool Culture’s participating families live in the City’s most underserved areas. At the same time, the City’s museums, historic societies, science centers and zoos have enormous educational resources designed by top-notch educators.
 
For 10 years, Cool Culture has connected low-income families to cultural institutions, providing educational opportunities that involve the entire family and develop young children’s curiosity and love of learning.

COOL CULTURE TODAY

Today, Cool Culture provides 50,000 low-income families enrolled in 400+ early education programs with free, unlimited admission to 90 of NYC’s finest cultural institutions.

Last year alone, Cool Culture families made nearly 100,000 visits among our partner cultural institution partners.
