Cool Culture’s board members, staff, and guests were excited to explore Peter Williams: Nyack, an exhibition of the artist’s interpretation of Black American experiences, at Eric Firestone Gallery. Our guests learned about Cool Culture’s work and heard about the power of our programs from Jessica Sain, a Cool Culture parent and partner educator. As a first grade teacher of English as a New Language, Jessica shared that the program’s impact is felt by their families year after year: “Cool Culture has a role in helping families feel welcomed and invited into these museum spaces that are unfamiliar. Art truly transcends language barriers and cultural differences where families find common ground and excitement through this program.”
