Cool Culture

Call for Poster Art

As part of the We Are A Work of Art Health + Wellbeing Initiative, we’re inviting our community to create poster art that expresses what wellbeing means to them and to advocate for social changes they wish to see. We’ll curate these visual artifacts online and on social media.

Our Cool Culture team recognizes there may be stressful interruptions to you or to your classroom’s routines, especially in recent weeks with heightened uncertainty around the pandemic. Our We Are A Work of Art: Health + Wellbeing Initiative is inspired by the belief that we’re all in this together, and to encourage each of us to create moments to find balance. We hope that this Call for Poster Art Submissions presents an opportunity for children, families – and you – to process their surroundings and create moments of stillness in the day for art making. We also hope you’ll use poster art to support conversations with families, educators and others who you think would benefit from taking a restorative moment.

Email your artwork (PDF, JPG, or photograph of the drawing) to Alexandra at with:

– Your name, child’s name and age

– Name of School or Child Care Center

– Borough of Residence

– Title of Artwork

– A sentence describing your art

– Please add your Cool Culture Family Pass ID number if you have one. (ID number is not needed to submit your artwork)

When you’re ready, review instructions to submit your poster art here. The opportunity is open through June 30, 2022!
